Vera Wallet is proud to be a fork of the Pera Algo Wallet, one of the leading wallets in the Algorand ecosystem. We believe in the power of open source software and community collaboration to drive innovation and growth.
By building on the solid foundation provided by Pera Wallet, we're able to focus on optimizing the experience specifically for the Voi Network while maintaining compatibility with the broader AVM (Algorand Virtual Machine) ecosystem.
Our Commitment
We are committed to contributing back to the development of Pera Wallet and the broader AVM ecosystem. Our goal is to:
- Submit valuable improvements back to the original Pera Wallet codebase
- Share insights and optimizations with the broader AVM ecosystem
- Collaborate with other developers and projects to advance the technology
- Help grow adoption of AVM-compatible blockchains like Voi Network

Why "Vera"?
Vera is a temporary brand for a temporary solution to build out compatibility with Voi. Creating a separate brand is the fastest way to get it in the hands of users and generate feedback.
The ultimate goal is to continue to update Vera to reach parity with the features Pera has on Algorand and then merge back into the main branch.

Like Pera Wallet, Vera Wallet is open source. We invite developers to review our code, submit issues, and contribute to the project. Together, we can create the best possible wallet experience for Voi users.
